Bottle gourd - small pieces -cup 1
Coriander powder - tsp 1/2
Curry leaves springs 1
Ginger garlic paste tsp1/2
Green chili- 4
Oil tbsp 1
Onion chopped 1
Sesame seeds tbsp 1
Turmeric pinch
Urad dal (yellow mashkalai) tsp 1
Take a pan, heat it and add sesame seed. Dry roast till golden brown in color. Grind into a coarse powder.
Take a pan, heat oil, and slightly roast the urad dal. Add onions and salt and saute till transparent.
Add turmeric, ginger garlic paste, curry leaves, green chili, coriander powder - saute till the raw flavor goes away.
Add bottle gourd and mix well add some water and close it with a lid.
Cook the bottle gourd till it is 80% done, 15 to 20 minutes. Then add the sesame seeds powder and cook for another 3 -4 min.
