NO yogurt, NO coriander powder
Prep: Marinate 1.8 lb chicken drumsticks (6 pcs) for at least 30 minutes with
2 tsp ginger-garlic paste
1/2 tsp turmeric
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp coriander.
1 tsp lime
1/2 tsp garam masala
Base: Heat 3 tbsp oil/ghee,
1/2+ tsp cumin seeds
5 cloves
2 bay leaf then sauté 1/2 cup finely chopped onions until just starting to turn golden.
Add chicken and saute on medium low for about 10 mins (onions brown by then but not burnt)
Add
4 whole green chilies
1.5 tomatoes (roma)
1 large potato (6 pcs)
1 tsp salt
and fry for a bit
Add
1 tsp salt
2-3 tbsp kasuri methi (dried methi leaves) presoaked in water
boiling water
Simmer: Cover and cook on low heat for about 15 minutes until chicken and potato is tender and oil separates.
