Ingredients:
- Oil - 1/4th cup
- Panch Phoron (Five-spice mix) - 1 tsp
- Cinnamon sticks - 4
- Bay leaves - 3
- Cloves - 8
- Whole black pepper - 10
- Cardamoms - 5

- Chicken boneless - 1 kg (about 1 inch wide thigh pcs)
- Chopped onion - 1 cup
- Garlic ginger paste - 4 TBSP
- Red chili powder - 1 TBSP
- Cumin powder - 1.5 TBSP
- Coriander powder - 1.5 TBSP
- Methi - 0.5 tsp
- Salt - 1.5 tsp
--- - Potato 2 medium (optional)
- Boiled water - 2 cup or more to just about submerge chicken
- Fried onion - 1/2 cup
Steps:
- Fry whole spices for a minute and add onions
- When onions start turning brown, add chicken and rest of spices
- Saute(fry with frequent stirring) for 15 minutes
- Add potato and fried onion and stir for a couple more minutes
- Add water and simmer for 10 mins more or until done
