Cream of Mushroom Soup


100g (1/2 can) mushrooms, chopped
2 cloves garlic finely chopped
2 tablespoons butter
4 tablespoons flour
4 cups warm water
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
Pinch of nutmeg

Directions:


  • Lightly saute mushrooms and garlic in butter.
  • Add flour and stir constantly for about 5 minutes.
  • Slowly add stock, stirring until all is incorporated.
  • Add nutmeg, salt and pepper.
  • Simmer about 10 minutes.
  • Add milk, stir and serve.
  • Makes about 4 bowls.
